When to use Bridge Mode

Use Bridge Mode if your notes already live in Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox.

It is a Pro feature. Free users can still start with Moonstone Cloud and upgrade later when they want connected folders.

Connect a folder

Moonstone asks you to connect a provider account and choose the folder that contains your notes.

1. Choose Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox.
2. Sign in to that provider and approve the connection.
3. Pick the folder that should become your Moonstone vault.
4. Wait for Moonstone to load the notes, then open one from the sidebar.

What happens to your files

Your Markdown files stay in the provider folder you chose. Moonstone gives you the editor, links, search, graph view, and navigation around those files.

Disconnecting a provider from Moonstone does not delete the files in your drive.

Syncing changes

Moonstone saves your edits and lets you manually sync when you want to check for provider-side changes.

For large folders, the first load can take longer. After that, Moonstone can reopen previously loaded vaults more quickly.
