Write in the hybrid editor

Moonstone keeps the source honest and readable, but presents it with a lighter touch so the act of writing feels closer to paper than markup.

Why the editor feels different

Moonstone uses a hybrid editing model: you stay in Markdown, but inactive syntax recedes so your eye can stay with the sentence instead of the punctuation.

That means the source remains portable while the writing experience feels more considered than a raw text area.

Keep notes clean and reusable

Use headings sparingly, keep paragraphs short, and let filenames carry the note identity. Moonstone does not depend on hidden document formats or a proprietary database to make your notes useful.

  • Markdown stays canonical
  • Image and PDF embeds resolve at render time
  • The editor remains mounted so note switching stays stable

Move quickly without clutter

Toolbar actions, slash commands, and keyboard shortcuts are there when you want speed, but the interface tries not to shout over the writing itself.
